PwC’s latest Agribusinesses Insights Survey 2015 shows the following findings: demographic shifts, resource scarcity and climate change, accelerating urbanisation, technological changes and economic power shifts that will be transforming businesses over the years to come.
The agribusiness sector is being changed by global megatrends. New markets and access allows agribusinesses to broaden their public reach, as well as increasing production sales and services. The CEO’s of Agribusiness recognise the impact of global megatrends.
According to Bizcommunity: Definition of Megatrends – “Megatrends are global, sustained and macroeconomics forces of development that impact business, economies, societies, cultures and personal lives. They thereby define our future world, and keep changing it at an increasing pace.”
Africa in general is attracting a lot of foreign investors and South Africa was one of the many countries where opportunity is visible.
