Over 1 000 people gathered at Grain SA’s prayer day for South Africa, and its agricultural sector in Bothaville on Friday, 27 November 2015.
The crowds included farmers, farm workers, business people, as well as SA citizens, mainly from the central parts of the country. The prayer service took place at the Fanie Ferreira Hall at Nampo Park.
The service was led by South African music artist Heinz Winckler and evangelist Dawie Spies. Critical issues such as poverty, unemployment and land reform were raised in the prayers.
Prayers were mainly held for rain and relief from the current drought.
